Living on the Chesapeake Bay gives you a real appreciation for the seasons. As a Charter Boat Captain its a time to relax a bit, do needed repairs, order new equipment, and plan for the coming season. Here at Never E-Nuff Charters we are doing all of that. We had a great 2016 season and the Striper fishing was good all the way into December. Our calendar was mostly full and we were moving fast to make sure our clients had a great time on the water. As you are planning out your year don't forget to put us on [...]
Happy Holidays From Captain Shawn & Never Enuff Charters, we are continuing to chase the Chesapeake Winter Stripers into December. We worked hard this past week, the weather was kinda ruff a few days and the fish were a bit finicky but we still put limits in the boat on most days. With the water temperature continuing to drop the fist are going deeper and deeper to find the warm water. Trolling low and slow continues to be productive. We are picking up modest size stripers with some in the 30 inch plus range. These are great eating fish and [...]
The Never Enuff continues to prove is one of the best Chesapeake Charters in the Bay. Captain Shawn Pruitt continues to find where the Stripers are and is putting them in the boat. We will continue to fish through the week before Christmas and then we will be putting the Never E-Nuff in dry doc to get a new coat of paint and will be doing various upgrades and repairs. She will be fishing again in March for the 2017 season. The Stripers continue to congregate in the areas where the rivers and tributaries come into the bay. [...]
Chesapeake Bay Fishing Guide Shawn Pruitt reports that November is Cold but Striper Fishing has been HOT! Chesapeake Bay Fishing Guides have been getting lots of action and putting a lot of this in their boat. The fish are moving to their winter holding areas and the river mouths have been very good fishing. We have been getting fish in the 24+ inch range and some close to 30 inches or more. We continue to fish light tackle and have been picking fish up while trolling and jigging in about 30 feet of water. The fish are schooled [...]
Well, October is coming to a close and the Never Enuff has had another good week of fishing on Chesapeake Bay. The weather and the fish were both a bit unpredictable (normal for October) but we were able to get on them each day and fill the fish box. Jigging with light tackle is the name of the game. If you have never caught stripers on light tackle you are missing out. This time of year you will pick up a lot of sub-legal fish but there are still a fair number of keepers that will make your day [...]
The Striper Fishing continues to be good and the fish are getting bigger. The weather is looking good for the coming week and we hope to be filling the Never E-Nuff with more limits of Chesapeake Bay Stripers. Call Shawn anytime at 410-474-0306 to book one of these days or inquire about other dates that may be available. This past week we took out a couple [...]
This week was a great week for fishing Stripers on Chesapeake Bay. We had typical October weather, some nice days and some cloudy but had some good striper fishing. We are still livelining which if you haven't done is a blast. We use light tackle and the fight is fast and furious. We had some fun groups this week and there is always some horse play amongst friends when the fishing slows down. We still have room if your wanting to get in on some fall Chesapeake Bay Striper Fishing this fall.
